About Me

I'm a front-end developer with close to two decades of experience shipping production web applications for airlines, cruise lines, and consumer brands, with deep expertise across React, Vue, and vanilla JavaScript.

I specialize in translating high-fidelity design into pixel-perfect, DRY, reusable components — following Atomic Design principles and building style guides that keep design and engineering in sync across large product teams.

Beyond components, I own the details that make a site fast and discoverable: SEO, Core Web Vitals, and Progressive Web App features like service workers and push notifications, backed by tools like Lighthouse, YellowLab, and WebPageTest.

I'm an active mentor and lifelong learner — always exploring new frameworks (currently Svelte, RedwoodJS, GraphQL) and sharing what I learn with the teams I work on.

Featured Projects

NCLH Booking & Marketing Components

Reusable Vue.js component system for Norwegian Cruise Line's booking and marketing pages, built on Google Closure (Soy) templates and Atomic Design principles.

Key engineering decisions

  • Followed Atomic Design to keep booking-flow components consistent across dozens of marketing pages

Key engineering decisions

  • Designed components to be brand-configurable so a single library could serve many airline clients
  • Backed components with Karma/Mocha/Chai tests to keep booking-critical UI regression-free
ReactStorybookKarmaMochaChai
Progressive Web App Rollout

Introduced service workers and push notifications across airline and cruise line sites to improve repeat-visit performance and re-engagement.

Key engineering decisions

  • Prioritized caching strategies around booking-flow assets, the highest-traffic paths
  • Validated improvements with Lighthouse, YellowLab, and WebPageTest before rollout

This Portfolio Site

This site: a Next.js portfolio with a live contact form, a full-stack CRUD demo, and an engineering playground.

Key engineering decisions

  • Kept the whole stack file-based and dependency-light rather than reaching for a CMS or admin panel
  • Used Route Handlers (not Server Actions) for the CRUD demo so the client → API → DB flow stays visible
